Description
Hello, I am James Lubega your support worker.
Previously I have worked with children aged 13-19 years in Uganda.
I have worked as a support worker and Health Care Assistant for over five years now in England.
I am a self-motivated and passionate worker who goes that extra mile to reach out to my clients, fellow staff and lone managers.
I thrive a lot on cooperation discussion, companionship and dedication to bring out desired results such as improved health, food and water nutrition, care, support and maintenance of independence where it is necessary, hygiene and maintaining a smile.
I enjoy working in health and social care industry because of its immense rewards such as helping and supporting my old generation continue enjoying a good life.
More so, I enjoy helping people achieve a healthy and balanced life style for those that require support as a result of age, disability or any form of intellectual disability. I feel I need to be around them and offer my support.
I also enjoy working with people especially cleaning , drawing and following their individual care plans, following the health and safety procedures within my clients residence, looking after their health, making a cup of tea and sharing it with them. This is in my view one way of being of value to society and in a way of giving back to the community.
As an experienced teacher, I feel marrying the skills of the profession and that of health and social care puts me in the driving g force of bringing a better and skilled worker since I can plan, execute, read and understand individual care plans, motivate my clients, establish rapport, quickly understand personalities given to me and therefore plan ahead so as to avoid clashes, use my psychology background to minimize crises.
I am therefore able with the experience of looking after people in different settings such as live in care, residential and care homes ranging from the elderly , those on the spectrum, mental health, Epilepsy and special needs.

I worked with James at a residential setting in Buckinghamshire whilst a student nurse on placement. I found James very easy to relate to and made my initial days at the home very relaxed. Having a teaching background, James, supported me with how to work with the service users at the house. James was always punctual for work, had excellent interpersonal and communication skills. He was always willing to help and offer support on the job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend James to you because he will make a great asset to your company.
